19th December 2016 - Au Revoir!
We'd like to thank everyone for all the support during 2016 and wish everyone a peaceful and safe Christmas and New Year. This has been a remarkable year for us during which we've enjoyed great critical acclaim for our 13th studio release 'Over The Top', played a host of exciting and enjoyable shows and made new friends all the way along. We're off for a beer now to celebrate the end of our 26th year together. We'll see some of you on January 28th when we kick off year 27 with a charity show for The Alzheimer's Society at The Dashwood Arms in Piddington near West Wycombe and hopefully, many more of you all over the UK as our 'A New Way of Life ' tour rolls into town. A number of shows have already been booked, a number of festivals are looking good and some new venues are being lined up.
Have a goodun... best wishes, JUMP

30th November 2016
Our gigging year comes to a close on Saturday 3rd December at Leicester's own boutique progressive rock festival DANFEST, held at The Musician venue. We'll be on sometime after 3.45pm and finishing in time for a late afternoon tea of scones and jam.
It's been an amazing year where 'Over The Top' took centre stage at gigs, in reviews and on the merchandise desk. Next year we have a host of wildly interesting events lined up, so in the meantime, enjoy the freezing weather, the wine and song, the season of goodwill and we'll see you on the other side...

10th November 2016 - Last chance to board the High Wycombe Train!

Saturday November 12th sees us Wycombe Wanderers return to our spiritual home to entertain the faithful at Arts4Every1 on Desborough Road. It's a tenner and the simply magnificent Laura Williams will be supporting. A mean player with a great voice, Laura has worked with us before and we're looking forward to her slot. The award for furthest travelled punter will go to a gentleman from Hungary who is flying in for the occasion... unless you know better!!! After that, an amazing 2016 will come to a close at Danfest in Leicester on Dec 3rd.

JumpRockUK13th October 2016 - Not Long Now...
...until JUMP hit the road for a diverse and eagerly anticipated set of gigs. Look out Yorkshire, Glasgow, High Wycombe and Leicester... we're coming to town! See the gig guide - here - for details.
Very soon we'll be announcing some brand new dates for next year which include yet more new venues and extensive travel, not to mention appearances with some very interesting artists indeed!

1st September 2016 - Every Cloud...
Really disappointed that our great friends Lifesigns have had to withdraw from the gig at the Classic Rock Society in Maltby on October 22nd, BUT delighted to report that the gig goes ahead with JUMP as headliners and the outstanding Jeff Green as our very special guest. Jeff, as most people will know, is a fantastic talent and someone who we very much look forward to working with. So get your tickets, pack your foam thumbs and we'll see you there!

13th August 2016 - When the leaves begin to fall...
Saturday 10th September sees the band play what is for us a new venue.

JumpRockUKHaving enjoyed previous visits to Wolverhampton at The Wulfrun (with FISH), The Little Civic with Galahad, and numerous supports at The Robin, we are delighted to be appearing at the most excellent Newhampton Arts Centre with very special guests The Dreaming Tree.

With an excellent PA and facilities we'll be taking along our little camera and tape recorder, so it'll be a night for shouting and wild applause...

25th July 2016 - Faulkner Jumps To the Rescue!
Former JUMP bass player Andy Faulkner will rejoin the band for one night only at their Cambridge Rock Festival appearance on Friday August 5th. JUMP's bassist Mark Pittam has been granted leave of absence to attend the birth of his first child, due on the very date of the gig. Faulkner will enjoy a very busy day at Cambridge - he will be appearing with Agnieszka Swita earlier on the bill - and is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with old friends.

"JUMP were booked for the gig and the next thing they know Mark is going to be a Dad that very weekend. John (Dexter Jones) gave me a call and asked me if I could help out and I just said yes, why not?! I've always kept in touch and when we had a run-through of the stuff, we just nailed it, grinned a lot and went to the pub."

JumpRockUKJUMP's 2016 release 'Over The Top' has received plaudits in every quarter and will feature heavily in the band's Cambridge set.

"It's been a fantastic first half of the year for JUMP" comments Jones "the album has had rave reviews and we've enjoyed some fantastic gigs including hooking up with FISH again after all those years. There's more to come as well. We're heading to Scotland for the first time, we'll be back in High Wycombe for the first time in ages AND we're working with LIFESIGNS again as well. It's great that Andy is joining us in Cambridge, he's a 'family' member, a top player and a top bloke - we're really looking forward to it!"

30th May 2016
JUMP return to the studio this week, following the completion of their spring season of gigs in support of their excellently received 'Over The Top' album. The gigs included an outing with old friend FISH on his Farewell To Childhood Tour. Work on the band's next release begins in deepest Buckinghamshire with a working title of 'The Copper Thief' and frontman John Dexter Jones promises the exploration of yet more weighty themes.

JumpRockUK JUMP have also been trawling 26 years of video archives, selections from which will contribute to a film that is being developed for release early next year. JUMP's prolific career output, combined with strong archivists tendencies and a film-maker son - Sam Jones - have led to this project.

JDJ comments: "We realised pretty quickly that this would not just be a concert DVD. There will of course be live footage from across the ages but a whole more besides. We decided to approach this with a view to creating the widest possible context for the band's history, so there is all manner of content in there. Sam wasn't even born when the band started and he has been shocked by the abundance of hair in the early days. There will be mullets!"

JUMP's thirteenth studio album OVER THE TOP is on sale from Saturday 12th March.
It contains ten tracks - mixing was completed recently at MARS Studios in Buckinghamshire under the watchful eye of long-time JUMP co-producer Martin Atkinson.

JUMP recently opened the show for FISH at The Waterside in Aylesbury, on his FAREWELL TO CHILDHOOD tour. To be invited to play at this show was especially poignant, as it came 18 years after JUMP were previously on stage with Fish on the Sunsets On Empire tour. HERE are some photos from the Waterside show.
